CEAT PhD Student wins Best Paper Award at International Conference
CEAT Ph.D. Student, Matthew D’Ambrosia, was awarded First Place in the Student Paper Competition at the Concrete Platform '07 Conference held in Belfast, Ireland on April 19-20, 2007. His paper was entitled Modeling Internal Stresses in Concrete Using Relative Humidity as a Driving Force, co-authored by Prof. David Lange. The conference was held at the Wellington Park Hotel in Belfast, Northern Ireland, UK. The main conference organizers were Professor P.A. Muhammed Basheer and Professor Steve Millard. The award was sponsored by the Northern Ireland Branch of the UK Concrete Society. Matt received a certificate and a $700 cash prize.
