FAA COE Annual Meeting
March 14-16, 2005
Orlando, FL
The Federal Aviation Administration held the 4th Joint Annual Meeting for the Air Transportation Centers of Excellence in Orlando, Florida at the University of Central Florida’s Engineering Department. The University of Central Florida and the Harris Corporation were co-hosts of the event and several companies and organizations helped sponsor the conference. The title of the conference was Global Leadership Commitment to Worldwide Improvements. The conference website can be viewed at: http://www.coe.faa.gov/.
The CEAT Center attendees included Professor David Lange, Director; Vicki Dixon, Assistant to the Director; Robert Rodden, Graduate Student; Chang Joon Lee; Graduate Student; Shihui Shen, Graduate Student; Nathan Carroll, Graduate Student; and Cristian Gaedicke, Graduate Student. The five graduate students presented posters at the opening night reception and competed in a Student Poster Contest. Cristian Gaedicke was one of the finalists in the contest out of 27 students from the COEs who presented posters.
Professor Lange presented at the conference giving an overview of the CEAT Center including the center’s research projects for the FAA.
CEAT also participated in the conference as an Exhibitor. The exhibit/booth was designed by one of the center’s graduate students, Patrick Hodina.
